

Michigan Governor Jennifer M. Granholm has announced a new statewide award for commercialization excellence. The award, known as the ACE, will be bestowed upon two university researchers within the state of Michigan whose technology transfer activities have had a positive economic impact, especially within Michigan. In order to be eligible, research must have been conducted by faculty or staff at one of Michigan's 15 public universities, licensing must have begun no longer than 7 years prior to nomination, and the technology must be licensed and/or spun off into a for-profit company with a strong presence in Michigan.
