Fueling Economic Development

Interlink Celebration

The Ann Arbor community welcomed Interlink Networks at the Interlink Celebration on November 3rd, 2000 at the company headquarters.

Interlink Networks is a new business start-up spun out of Merit Networks and the University of Michigan, and dedicated to providing authentication and auathorization software products for the internet.

Company staffers, their family, Merit and UM personnel, community leaders and friends toasted the newest start-up on the block and toured the Interlink facility. Awards were presented from Merit and UM recognizing the achievement of creating Interlink Networks, and also from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, which awarded Interlink the Outstanding Achievement award for IT companies for the year 2000.

This was also the first UM deal financed by local venture group Arbor Partners who are co-funding Interlink along with Siemen's Mustang Capital and Nokia.
