Doug Hockstad, Associate Director, Software & Copyright Licensing, is responsible for managing intellectual property related to Information Technology arising from the various colleges within the University of Michigan.
Doug has over eleven years of experience in high-tech markets, working primarily with software development companies. Prior to joining the Office of Technology Transfer he managed the creation and rollout of a new software product line for Comshare, an Ann Arbor based international software company. Later, as Director of Corporate Communications, he revitalized brand awareness in a new market niche. Doug has also been involved with sales and partnering activities, both at Comshare and for a software start-up.
Doug holds a BSE in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
