Andrew McColm, Associate Director – Business Formation, manages the group within OTT which is focused on assisting faculty, staff and students in the creation of start-up companies based on UM technology. Andrew focuses on information technology, engineering and the physical sciences.

Prior to joining OTT, Andrew had an extensive international career in telecommunications, which included several senior management and executive level positions across four startup ventures. Most recently he was Chief Operating Officer of Canbras Communications, a publicly traded firm on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Prior to Canbras Communications, Andrew was President and CEO of a telecommunications startup in Brazil, which he grew to over 700 employees, and US$50 million in annual revenue while raising over US$100M in debt and equity funding.

Andrew has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Management and an MBA with High Distinction from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
